Dreamed of watching the pensive looks of your opponent on Words With Friends?

Facebook’s Messenger games launched a year ago, and on Thursday the company announced it was rolling out new livestreaming and video chat features.

Once you click a new camera icon on top of a Messenger game, you can livestream the game you’re playing to your Facebook page or profile, with the option to turn on your screen’s front camera. You can also save the recording on your phone.

There will also be the ability to video chat with your partner while you play a game with them, set to be introduced on Words With Friends early next year.

The new features arrive as Messenger has quickly expanded its game offerings, which launched with 20 titles. Now Messenger has 70 game titles available globally, adding classics like Tetris а также 8 Ball Pool to its repertoire.

Facebook also announced a whole suite of well-known titles set to join Messenger. Angry Birds is coming in “early 2018,” featuring the ability to play with friends.

Soon to come is Sonic Jump by SEGA, a game based on Disney’s Tsum Tsum collectibles, and new casual game based off Puzzle & Dragons,

Messenger’s move into livestreaming follows efforts already led by Twitch and YouTube, but the emphasis seems to be more on casual gamers, at least for now.
