A few major brands are among the select group of accounts chosen to gain early access to Twitter’s new 280-character tweets, and as with anything gripping the Twittersphere’s attention, they haven’t been quiet about it.

Everyone from the Chicago Bears to Durex condoms wasted no time flexing their new character counts with plus-sized versions of their usual corny jokes.

Twitter announced the change on Tuesday, marking the first time it’s ever adjusted its trademark 140-character restriction since its founding a little more than a decade ago. Right now, it’s only available to a small group of trial users.

As you might expect, reactions to the landmark update have been mixed. Here are some of the brands riffing on the new elongated format:

window._msla = window.loadScriptAsync || função (src, id) {if (document.getElementById (id)) return; var js = document.createElement ( 'script'); js.id = id; js.src = src ; document.getElementsByTagName ( 'script') [0] .parentNode.insertBefore (JS, FJS);}; _msla ( “// platform.twitter.com/widgets.js","twitter_jssdk”);
