Facebook boasts of over 2 billion monthly active users, and it’s one of the best places to find qualified leads. While Facebook ads provide you with an opportunity to grow your business, most people end up with hundreds of dollars down the drain for lack of having a winning strategy.

If you’re just getting started on Facebook ads or you have spent hundreds of dollars or more on Facebook ads without luck, here are some tips on how you can get results and increase your sales from Facebook ads.

1. Target the Right Audience

Growing the audience for your Facebook page is the logical first step when you get started with Facebook ads. People who like your page are more likely to opt into your email list, go through your content, and buy from you than those who don’t like your page. You can use Facebook ads to grow your audience as a first step.

You want to build a targeted fan base that has already invested in you and is likely to convert at a higher rate. With Facebook, you can target website visitors, those on your email list and those with shared interests as your brand. The more you know about your customer, the more you can target your campaign to reach them.

2. Create a Compelling Lead Magnet

A lead magnet is what you offer your leads to encourage your potential customers to give you their contact information. There are lots of options to choose from when it comes to lead magnets. Some of the lead magnets could include free shipping, email courses, discount codes, checklists, video training, and free tools.

Of course, most people will not buy when they first visit your site. You need to find out what scares or motivates your leads. The type of lead magnet you use will depend on the level of commitment required.

3. Monitor, Make Changes and Refine Your Campaigns

Facebook advertising takes a lot of hard work. Any ad campaign should have a purpose; it could be bringing in new visitors, engaging more with them, or converting them when they are ready. Once you’ve run an ad, you have to constantly monitor its performance. If the results are not what you expected, make some tweaks and refine your campaigns to target the right audience. This is the only way you’ll know what works for you. Be prepared to change your offer, your images or the title on the add.

Facebook ads are an excellent way to get qualified leads for your business at a low cost. However, the strategy you use is what will determine your success. Avoid viewing Facebook ads as a way to sell, rather direct your ad to a landing page (a single web page often linked to social media, e-mail marketing campaigns to enhance the effectiveness of the advertisements) with a lead magnet that will persuade your visitors to sign up for your email list. With this, you can now market and sell your products.
